Minor Divisions

Every club fields an M1 team — and it matters: no M1 at Matchday 2, no Top Bracket for your club. Below it, M2 squads are unlimited. A level for everyone.

Absences

  • Miss a matchday and your squad is recorded with five absences.
  • Forfeits don’t show in your W-T-L record.
  • Your group points are divided by 5 extra matches — so your Pts/Match already counts the miss.
  • Miss Matchday 2? The league’s Matchday 2 forfeit rules apply — teams scheduled to play you receive the win and 3 points. More in the FAQ ↓

Miss Matchday 1 Entirely?

  • No top bracket at the Playoffs — lower brackets only.
  • Play one Super Regional — Las Vegas or Richmond — and you stay eligible.
  • Clubs may play both.

How Minor Works

M1 · Minor Division 1

  • Top 6 per group after Matchday 2 → Power Schedule and the top bracket.
  • Everyone else → Play-In, for the final four at-large spots — one guaranteed to a Minor team that attended all three matchdays.
  • Top-bracket eligibility takes all three matchdays.
  • The rest play the M1B Survival Bracket. Top 5 promote to P2. No relegation in the Minor divisions.

M2 · Minor Squads

  • Minor B, C, D, E, F & G squads — no limit per club at Matchdays 2 and 3.
  • Orlando: 8-team championship brackets off Matchday 2 + 3 standings. Every bracket crowns a champion.
  • Brackets start Saturday, not Friday night.
  • Top 8 of the highest bracket promote to M1 — clubs can hold multiple M1 teams in Year 3.

Questions Answered

The key questions for this page. The full league FAQ — all 232 answers — lives on one page.

What is M1?

M1 is the highest Minor division and an important part of each club's development structure.

Does every club have an M1 team?

Yes. Every club is expected to field an M1 team this season.

Why is M1 important?

M1 helps clubs:
• Develop future pro-level players
• Build club depth
• Strengthen local programs
• Satisfy league participation requirements for P1 and P2 clubs

How are M1 teams grouped?

M1 teams are divided into 4 groups for standings, scheduling, and playoff qualification.

How does an M1 team qualify for the Top Bracket?

The top 6 teams from each group after Matchday 2 make the Power Schedule — every one of them is already in the Top Bracket, playing for seeding (Team Elo + group record). Can M1 teams be relegated?

Yes. The bottom 2 M1 teams are relegated to M2.

What is the M1B Survival Bracket?

The M1B Survival Bracket includes teams that do not qualify for the Top Bracket. Teams compete for placement and division survival.

Does M1 need to attend all matchdays?

Yes. M1 teams must participate in all three matchdays, including at least one Matchday 1 Super Regional, to remain eligible for the Top Bracket.

What is M2?

M2 is the developmental Minor division for newer players, intermediate players, additional club squads, and expanding programs.

Is M2 beginner-friendly?

Yes. M2 is designed to provide a meaningful and competitive experience for developing players and newer competitors.

Can clubs have multiple M2 teams?

Yes. Clubs may bring unlimited M2 teams during Matchdays 2 and 3, subject to league approval and event capacity.

Do M2 teams play at Matchday 1?

M2 teams are invited to Matchday 1, but participation may vary. M2 competition is primarily emphasized during Matchdays 2 and 3.

How do M2 playoffs work?
